Selective In Vitro Antimicrobial Properties of Solanumvirginianum Linn Crude Extract

The antibacterial activities of Solanumvirginianumwas investigated against Escherchia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, B.subtilis using the Streak plate, Broth dilution methods. The solvent type extracts were obtained by three extractions with Petroleum ether, Ethyl acetate, Ethanol, and aqueous extract were obtained by cold maceration, respectively.
